Who we are:
Why “Feral”?
Because healing doesn’t always look pretty.
Because survival is messy.
Because growth can be loud, uncomfortable, and wild.
But sober. Accountable. Connected. Free.
Feral But Sober, Inc. — Full Organization Description
Feral But Sober, Inc. is a lived‑experience–led nonprofit creating a new model of recovery, crisis support, and community care. We exist for the people who don’t fit the mold for the people who have been told they’re too much, too broken, too complicated, or too far gone. We were built for the ones who don’t fit neatly into traditional boxes, who have been overlooked, dismissed, or turned away by traditional systems. —but still deserve recovery, stability, and community.
We are a grassroots nonprofit organization committed to one core belief:
No one should ever have to fight addiction, trauma, or crisis alone again.
Our Mission
24/7 Presence. Total Dignity. Zero Barriers.
Our mission is to provide real-time, 24/7 connection peer support and crisis navigation rooted in lived experience. We meet people exactly where they are—without shame, without judgment, and without gatekeeping. Resource matching at any hour of the day. Whether someone is struggling with addiction, homelessness, mental health, domestic violence, reentry, or simply needs a human voice to sit with them through a hard moment, we show up—without judgment, without gatekeeping, and without conditions.
Recovery is not one-size-fits-all. We support all pathways and honor personal choice. Whether someone is seeking abstinence, harm reduction, treatment placement, emotional support, or simply someone who understands, we show up.
We don’t replace professionals.
We don’t pretend to be clinicians.
We connect, guide, and walk beside.
We aren't just a resource list; we are a lifeline. We meet you exactly where you are—we provide a community where honesty is the only requirement and support is the only goal.
24/7 Live Peer Support
Feral But Sober operates a continuous live peer support presence across social media platforms. Anyone struggling—at 2PM or 2AM—can reach a real person with lived experience.
Support includes:
Emotional support during relapse urges or crisis moments
Help locating detox or treatment programs
Navigation to shelters, food access, or emergency housing
Guidance for reentry after incarceration
Help replacing IDs or accessing public benefits
Assistance locating free clinics or mental health services
Support for survivors of domestic violence
Connection to veteran or senior services
Help finding transportation, childcare, clothing, hygiene supplies
Or simply someone to sit with them and listen
Sometimes what someone needs is a bed.
Sometimes what they need is a bus pass.
Sometimes what they need is someone to say, “I’ve been there. You’re not crazy. You’re not weak. You can get through this.”We stay with people until resolution whenever possible—even if it requires a structured shift handoff between team members. The goal is continuity, not abandonment.
🗂️ The National Resource Database
We are currently building the most comprehensive recovery and survival database in the country. Our volunteers have real-time access to 23 primary categories of life-saving resources. If you need it, we find it.
Holistic Navigation: From finding a detox bed or a homeless shelter to securing child care, food boxes, or ID assistance.
Active Connection: We don't just "give a number." A member of our team stays on the line with you, navigating the database and coordinating the hand-off to ensure you actually get the help you need.
This database is designed to be accessible, trauma‑informed, and constantly updated—built by people who know firsthand how hard it is to find help when you’re in crisis
Community, Events & Fundraising
Feral Fest
Recovery shouldn't be boring.
Our flagship in‑person event, Feral Fest, is a three‑day recovery and community celebration featuring workshops, speakers, entertainment, games, icebreakers, food, and connection. It serves as both a fundraiser and a living preview of the all‑inclusive recovery pathway we are building. Feral Fest brings together people in recovery, families, professionals, and community members to learn, heal, and build relationships that last long after the event ends. It’s a place to celebrate being alive, find your tribe, and support the mission.
Media & Storytelling
Storytelling changes lives. Shame loses power when stories are spoken out loud.
The Feral But Sober Podcast
A platform where individuals share their raw, unfiltered recovery journeys—the good, the ugly, the setbacks, and the wins. These stories are meant to normalize struggle and highlight possibility.
The Feral But Sober Talk Show (Name Coming Soon)
An edgier, grittier series featuring bold conversations, tough topics, and segments that challenge stigma head-on. Recovery isn’t always soft and polished—and neither are we.
How We Sustain the Mission
Feral But Sober, Inc. is powered by the community, for the community. We sustain our 24/7 operations through:
Merchandise: High-quality gear that represents the "Feral But Sober" lifestyle.
Sponsorships: Partnering with brands and organizations that aren't afraid to get their hands dirty for a good cause.
Donations: Every TikTok gift and direct donation goes back into expanding the 24/7 platform, maintaining the national resource database, training volunteers, and building the recovery pathway that will guide people from crisis to stability to long‑term healing.
No more shame. No more isolation. Just us, together, 24/7.
